Finding insights about your product areas is as simple as searching for them.

Let's find your first insight

  1. Think of something important in your product area. For example, “inviting new users”

  2. From the Explore tab, type the phrase into the search bar

  3. Have a browse through the results

You’ll see a list of related Trends, which are groups of similar feedback. Learn more about Trends.

Open a trend

Click on a trend to dive in. You’ll see a summary and description generated by Sauce, along with accompanying Highlights.

🤔 How did the results of your search look? Too broad? That’s ok, in just a few clicks you’ll have relevant content for your product area.

Tip: A piece of raw feedback may have multiple pieces of separate feedback, which Sauce separates into individual Highlights. Sauces categories them as a feature request, issue, enquiry or praise. Learn more about Highlights.

Make your results more relevant

  1. In the search bar, add more phrases that are relevant to your search. You can be as detailed as you’d like

  2. Click the overlapping circles next to one of your search phrases

  1. Increase the slider to make results more specific to this search phrase

  1. If there are results that aren’t relevant to you, add them to the search bar and use the menu option to exclude them.

Find similar feedback

You can improve your search results by selecting similar feedback to match.

  1. Scroll down to the Feedback section

  2. Hove over a Highlight that’s relevant to your search

  3. Click ‘Find similar’ and your search results will be improved

  4. Click ‘Avoid’ to avoid similar Highlights in your results.

Step 3: Save a view 🗃️

Now that you have a search tailored to your product area, it’s time to save it! This will be a live view that evolves over time as more feedback is ingested and analysed by Sauce.

To save your view

  1. In the top right corner, click ‘Save this view’

  2. Enter a name

  3. Click ‘Save to’ - your view will get saved to your space. Learn more about Spaces.

Tip: You can create as many different views as you like, and they can be as granular or broad as you want. You might like to create views that capture different areas of your product or different sentiments (eg praise or issues).
